Module 1: Short Course in Wound Care (2024/06/11)
Introduction
The skin is the largest organ of the body, making up 16% of body weight and has several vital functions including immune function, temperature regulation, sensation and vitamin production. This course is developed for all healthcare workers who are involved in the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of wounds. The course will support clinical decision making in relation to the assessment and management of wounds, in line with individual professional competence.
Certification
To qualify for the certificate of completion for this short course, participants should fully attend the course and successfully complete the assessment process. The course is accredited for 27 CPD points (HPCSA)
