Job Title : Cyber Security Analyst II.

POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
- Specializes in threat detection and mitigation, ensuring the security and integrity of our data network.
- This role involves performing comprehensive security audits providing evidence of compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Additionally, the analyst will lead monthly security committee meetings to discuss and address ongoing security concerns and strategies.
- The analyst will identify vulnerabilities, security requirements, recommend and implement necessary improvements and continuously monitor for potential threats to maintain a robust security posture.
KEY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contain and address alerts related to the protection of intellectual property and other sensitive data
- Monitor, review and respond to security incidents and breaches, conduct investigations and coordinate with other areas of the company when implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of the organization's information systems.
- Track and escalate data protection activities throughout the organization, including engagement with corporate and parent company organizations to synergize strategy and implementation of emergency controls.
- Conduct thorough security audits to assess the organization's compliance with industry standards and regulations. This involves evaluating security policies, procedures, and controls to identify potential.

- Coordinate/lead security committee to discuss new & ongoing security concerns and strategies related to projects across the company
- Work closely with internal/external auditors and regulatory bodies to provide evidence of compliance and address any concerns or findings.
- Participate in remediation efforts when data is compromised and recommend controls to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Support Information Security initiatives, including security enhancements, new security technology evaluation, testing, implementation, and operation.
- Analyze trends to identify gaps and weaknesses in current alerting/testing platforms and recommend improvements to ensure evolving capabilities.
- Keep current on information security trends, new threats and attack techniques, and emerging security technologies.
- There are no direct reports for this position, however, position is considered a specialist in risk/compliance matters and may be authorized/directed by the president or EVP of administration to lead/coordinate certain activities (and work with related people) as required. Related authorities will be documented within policy and/or communicated by the top management as required such as special project.
Education:
- Associate of Science (AS) in Computer & Information Science or Related Field, bachelor preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of Associate's degree in computer science / cyber security or related IT security discipline.
2-4 years' experience in:
- security audits/assessments: with a focus on evaluation of security policy and control
- Incident Response: Monitoring, reviewing, and response to security incidents/breaches and conducting investigations
- Leading Security Committee: with focus on cross-departmental to ensure adherence with industry standards
- Security Systems: Proven expertise in setting up, using, and monitoring security applications
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to achieve common goals.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS- PREFERRED:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
